In this hands-on workshop, we’ll have an opportunity to make photographs aboard the M/V David B as we cruise the awe-inspiring waters of Glacier Bay, exploring and photographing from the boat, skiff, and land. Opportunities to capture memorable images of the stunning scenery and epic wildlife will be plentiful as we explore the nooks and crannies of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The David B accesses places that are off-limits to the big ships, allowing us the chance to get up close and personal with one of the grandest places on Earth. Opportunities to capture memorable images of the stunning scenery and epic wildlife (think: whales, brown and black bears, porpoises, moose, sea lions, otters, mountain goats, eagles, wolves, etc.) will be plentiful as we trace the complicated waterways of the northern Inside Passage. The bear viewing site at Pack Creek is limited to only 24 people per day and offers unparalleled access to observe brown bears in their natural habitat minus the crowds. The Tracy Arm / Fords Terror Wilderness is one of southeast Alaska’s premier locations for landscape and wildlife photography. This remote wilderness is only accessible by boat and the David B is one of the best options for experiencing the unique and wild location, where you’ll have the opportunity to photograph a tidewater glacier, deep canyon-like fjords, wildlife, such as humpback whales, killer whales, and brown and black bears.
